Walter J. Freidhof

Walter J. "Wawa" Freidhof Jr., 77, formerly of Long Branch and Monessen, passed away on January 2, 2023 at South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, in Canonsburg. He was born on April 8, 1945, son of the late Walter J. and Betty (Prati) Freidhof. Walter grew up in Monessen and was well known throughout the Mid Mon Valley. Walter traveled throughout much of the US with his late wife during their 31 year marriage. He is survived by his uncle Arthur J. Prati. And cousins Margaret Freidhof, Lois Freidhof, Marsha Freidhof, Norma (Jim) Lipari, Thomas Frantz, Albert Witmyer, Laura (Doug) Luckock and William Prati. He was preceeded in death by his wife Madeline Freidhof in 2017. Friends will be received on Thursday January 5 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will  follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery, Charleroi.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to The Salvation Army give.salvationarmyusa.org, Salvation Army 800 Thompson Ave, Donora, PA 15033.
