William J. Bartman, 67, of Monessen, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 2, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 27, 1954 in North Charleroi, the son of the late William J. and Angeline (DeMarco) Bartman. Bill was a 1972 graduate of Monessen High School and received his bachelors degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He moved to Alexandria, VA and worked in the Washington. DC area before returning to Monessen. Bill was a writer, journalist, and author with professional and business development experience and all media and communications sectors. He appeared on the NBC's Today show, The Travel Channel's Travel News, and national and major market radio in the U.S. and Europe. Bill co-authored "The International Safe Travel Guide", a Betterway Publication in 1987, offering an early warning to the growing international terrorism threat. He is survived by several cousins. A private service was held with Rev. Michael J. Crookston officiating. Interment followed in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
