Our funeral home is committed to following the guidelines established by the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) and our elected officials to assist in keeping everyone safe, including the families we serve, our staff, and the community. This Pandemic is unprecedented and none of us have ever experienced a time like the present.
Thus, our funeral home, with the guidance of the National Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and the CDC Guidelines have established the following temporary policy.
A. There will be no public visitations/viewings
B. Funerals and visitations will be private and held at the convenience of the family, without dates or times announced to the public.
C. Funeral church services will be private and arranged at the discretion of the priest/minister, again without dates or times of services announced.
D. Our staff will meet in person with family members to prearrange a funeral ONLY if the person has a critical illness. We will however be available for telephone consultations for arrangements and will use the internet and telephone to communicate as necessary.
E. For those wishing to have a Celebration of Life or Memorial Service, we will accommodate those wishes at a later date.
The above policy will remain in effect until we can safely return to normal policies and procedures. This unique situation is challenging to everyone, and we encourage all to follow the recommendations of our government officials. Please use common sense and practice good hygiene:
• Wash your hands, especially after touching any frequently used item or surface
• Avoid touching your face.
• Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.
• Disinfect frequently used items and surfaces as much as possible.
• Avoid gatherings of more than 10 people, and stay home.
